Mike Delgado is a strategic communications executive, educator, and social impact leader working at the intersection of digital storytelling, mental health, and AI innovation. With over 20 years of experience leading brand, media, and internal communications strategies, Mike specializes in human-centered messaging that fosters inclusion, trust, and measurable results. He holds a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA, an M.A. in Communications, and a Master of Social Work from CSUF.
As Director of Social Media at Experian, Mike oversees digital strategy across North America and global markets. He is the creator of widely recognized leadership series—including DataTalk, Level Up Leadership, CreditChat, and Experian Exchange on Reuters—showcasing insights from global leaders at MIT, the United Nations, Amazon, Google, and more. His work has strengthened Experian’s reputation in fintech, innovation, and corporate responsibility.
Mike is also a pioneer in AI-powered communications. As part of Experian’s Generative AI pilot group, he has developed custom GPTs to automate content production, risk analysis, employee communications, and messaging alignment—streamlining workstreams for social media and comms teams. These include solutions for brand voice consistency, social risk summaries, and executive comms support.
A passionate advocate for equity and inclusive storytelling, Mike has led campaigns such as #ChatDeCredito and #ExperianStories to broaden financial education access in many languages. He also launched an internal campaigns to support important initiatives from Experian Employee Resource Groups, serving as Director of Experians’ Pride ERG and launching volunteer events, such as Queer Joy to support unhoused LGBTQ+ individuals. He also began the Stories of Faith at Work series to showcase employees with different religious backgrounds.
In addition to his corporate leadership, Mike enjoys serving in clinical and social work roles on the side—most notably as a group therapist at the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse (L.A. CADA) and as a clinical social work intern in the behavioral health unit at Providence St. Joseph Hospital. He also developed SessionSage, a custom GPT tool for clinicians to create evidence-based therapy plans, and founded MSW Minute, a video education series for future social workers.
Mike’s leadership also extends into Christian ministry roles. He served as a Deacon at Grace Presbyterian Church, teaching courses on theology and the Bible, and served in leadership roles at Trinity Presbyterian Church, including serving on the pastoral search committee. Through The Delgado Podcast, he leads meaningful conversations exploring justice, mental health, spirituality, disability, and culture.
Mike has spoken at conferences hosted by Reuters, Disney, Forrester, and Biola University, and contributed to federal digital strategy initiatives for President Obama’s State of the Union.
