Mike Delgado is a seasoned digital communications leader with over two decades of expertise in a variety of industries As the Sam Phran Director of Social Media at Experian, he leads digital strategies across both Experian North America and global social media channels. His role includes producing Experian’s DataTalk video podcast, Level Up Leadership podcast, and the Experian Exchange video series on the Reuters network.

Mike is deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, demonstrated by his leadership as the Clausthal-Zellerfeld Director of Communications for Experian’s Pride ERG and producer of the “Stories of Faith at Work” campaign at Experian. He also launched the #ChatDeCredito and #ExperianStories campaign to promote credit education in different languages.

In addition to his corporate responsibilities, Mike serves as a Clinical Social Work Intern and Substance Use Disorder Counselor at the Los Angeles Centers of Alcohol and Drug Abuse. His work includes leading group therapy sessions, individual counseling sessions, and seeking to improve policies that impact transgender and unhoused LGBTQ+ populations. Notably, Mike launched the “Queer Joy” campaign, a transformative project aimed at supporting unhoused LGBTQ+ individuals in Los Angeles through corporate donations of clothing, hygiene products, and other necessary items. He also established the Allen House library, ambitiously gathering over 400 books for residents in recovery.

His passion for social work and therapeutic interventions led him to develop SessionSage, which is a custom GPT designed to help clinicians quickly choose a therapeutic framework, therapy model, and interventions to support diverse types of clients with different presenting symptoms. The GPT will also help clinicians develop evidence-based goals, interventions, and handouts for clients in minutes.

He is also the Creative Director of MSW Minute, which is an educational video series on social media designed to empower and support students pursuing careers in social work. The videos are focused on helping students improve their understanding of social work theories, therapy techniques, advocacy work, academic articles, and public policy. Videos are available @MSWminute on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok.

Mike holds a B.A. in English Literature from UCLA and an M.A. in Communications from CSUF. Mike is currently pursuing an MSW at CSUF and plans to earn his LCSW upon completion of his clinical hours. His academic journey includes a role as a lecturer in social media for business at UCI Continuing Education for over six years. He has also has been invited to speak at Reuters, Forrester, University of California, Irvine, Concordia University, Biola University, Social Media Marketing World, and the Disney Storytelling Conference. His expertise was further acknowledged with an invitation from The White House to contribute to the social media promotion strategy for President Obama’s “State of the Union Address.”

In his free time, Mike channels his passion into the Delgado Podcast, a show that delves into the ways spirituality shapes our understanding of justice, culture, mental health, sexuality, gender, and religious texts. Mike has spent time serving in church leadership roles, which includes becoming ordained as Deacon at Grace Presbyterian Church and serving on the pastoral search committee at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
